b-pi has been co-operating with various universities since 2008. As part of the co-operation and together with the faculties of computer science and business informatics, we offer seminars on essential industry practices in IT – the so called best practices – such as ITIL® and PRINCE2®. Some of those are even part of the regular curriculum. In addition, we supervise degree theses related to our field of activities, also acting as first or second examiner.
We started out with an ITIL® seminar which was requested by students, as a pilot project at the University of Marburg. This led to our first ITIL® seminar programme in co-operation with a German university. We now hold seminars at various universities in the Rhein-Main and Rheinland region.
Co-operation with universities offers both sides many advantages: b-pi can make a valuable contribution to university teaching by preparing students even better for their future career. At the same time, students can be attracted to our company. Many graduates who wrote their thesis in collaboration with us are now our colleagues at b-pi.
